Sealed Bids for WARD 4 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS - MDEQ-MISSISSIPPI MCWI MDEQ AGREEEMENT NO. 601-2-SW-5.6 will be received by the TOWN OF SUMRALL, MISSISSIPPI, herein called the “Owner”, at Sumrall Town Hall, 4880 Highway 589, Sumrall, Mississippi, until 10:00 AM , (Local Time) on June 18th, 2024 , and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The work involved in this project includes linear grading existing ditch alignments, removal and replacement of culverts, and other drainage improvements. The project sites are located on New York Ave, Railroad Ave, from Rails to Trails to Hwy 42, and from Hwy 42 to Veterans Memorial Dr. in the Town of Sumrall. New York Ave proposes linear grading and various culvert replacements. Railroad Ave has a proposed culvert replacement. Rails to Trails to Hwy 42 proposes grading and a culvert replacement site. Hwy 42 to Veterans Memorial Dr. proposes linear grading and a concrete paved ditch. The work is further described in the construction drawings and specifications.

Plans and specifications are being made available via paper and digital copy. Plan Holders are required to log-in or register for an account to view or order bid documents at www.twaplanroom.com. All Proposals shall be submitted on Bid Forms provided with the specifications. Bids may be submitted in person, or for those interested, bids can be electronically submitted at www.twaplanroom.com under the project page. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered.

Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom plans and proposals have been issued and whose name appears on the official list of plan holders. The proposal and contract documents in its entirety shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the current Certificate of Responsibility Number of the bidder on the outside of each sealed envelope, said envelope being plainly marked WARD 4 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS - MDEQ-MISSISSIPPI MCWI - MDEQ AGREEEMENT NO. 601-2-SW-5.6

Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank bid forms provided with the drawings and general conditions and scope of work and must be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid. Said security to be forfeited, as liquidated damages, not penalty, by a bidder who may be awarded the contract, but who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute the contract and post the required performance bond in the form and amount, and within the time specified. The bid bond, or the certified check, if used in lieu thereof, shall be payable unconditionally to the Town of Sumrall, Mississippi.
